First, I was never sent the 2GB card that goes with the pen so they lose a lot of points there. I ended up getting a 8GB card for it separately so luckily I could actually use the pen when I got it. The pen works fine for about 80 minutes of record time which means that big 8GB cards do very little. You run out of battery way before you run out of space on the card. Also, the file sizes are huge because they record in .AVI.

I had to rate everything at a 2 until I figure out why when I plug the pen into my laptop it will bluescreen my laptop and reboot it. No other usb device will do this except the pen, so has anyone else had this issue with the pen? Thank you

The package arrived quicly and included:
- Video pen
- Sd card and pc adapters(2)
- Web cam installation disk
- A/C charger
- USB cable
- instruction pamphlet
Many of the other reviewers of this product commented on the instruction manaual. It looks as through the company took notice and updated the pamphlet to include accurate operating instructions. After charging the pen for about three hours the device worked as expected for both the video mode and photographs. Obviously, the lens is very small and like any camera, a small opening will significantly limit light hitting the sd card. Indoor pictures are grainy unless there is plenty of light. Pictures come with a date stamp, which the instruction manual can be changed if you connect the pen to the PC and edit a file with notepad (I have not tried this yet). In the video mode, the audio is decent and the pen records smoothly in an avi format. I had no difficulty getting the windows media player to play the video. When in your pocket, the mode light is facing your body, and is not noticable, but could be taped over if the need existed. Overall, I would recomend this product.

I bought this pen a few weeks ago but when I received it was a completely different pen. I looked at the diagram then at the pen on the outside it looked the same but on the inside it was not, there seemed to be no usb or sd slot. But on the diagram it showed that the usb and sd slot should be in plain sight if you pop off the top of the pen. So I contacted the company that make them they said “look at the diagram”. Then I send pictures of the top of the pen and the diagram to show how they are different, then they don’t have the courtesy to repond. So I bought another one and it seems to be the same knock off pen. So now I am stuck with two unusable pens that I spent over two hundred dollars for these knock offs and the shipping. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE KNOCK OFFS TO ANY ONE.
