I cannot believe these guys. I ordered this camera, and when I would not buy the “package” with battery charger, bigger battery and filters for $650, he became very rude. I decided to at least take the larger battery, but he said no. I finally said if i can’t buy the camera and a 2 hr. battery, that I would cancel the order. He said he didn’t want to sell it to me. I said fine and canceled the order. One week before Christmas and they pull this stuff. I’ll never ever order anything from them, you shouldn’t either unless you enjoy arguing. It’s a bait and switch.

Although this is a good price and good picture and has a large hard drive you cannot edit your movies which is why I bought the camera in the first place. Unfortunately we’ve had it for over a month before we discovered this. I am very disappointed.

over all, it is great, but when you change the optical times, you should do it slowly. otherwise the video will become not clear.

Maybe I got a dud, but this camera did not work at all for what I needed. First off, I was not able to use it, because it buffered itself every 20 seconds. I was only able to get about 3 minutes of video before it started buffering. Then, it would buffer about every 20 seconds, resulting in only short snippets of viewable video.
Secondly, the lack of a mic gain setting screwed me. Yes, I was recording in a loud environment. The sound was very distorted and unbearable. This camera needs a function to be able to turn down the mic sensitivity.

Pro: Very light and small. Battery life is good enough. So far enough memory for my needs, I did not even bought memory card yet.
Con: Cap lock for battery poorly designed and sometimes opens in my pocket. Zoom is very fast sometimes, but I probably just did not get used to it. It would be nice to have more editing options in addition to just delete the whole scene. It would be helpful to have split option on the camera itself, then one can free more space.
Canon software crashed my Window based laptop. It took me an hour to recover it. I has been using Window Movie Maker now and affraid to use software which came with the camera.
