  • As noted in previous reviews, you have to press a little harder on the buttons (which you would expect with a thick rubber skin). The bottom plate is a bit challenging to remove and replace and could use some redesign in future versions, but this is not a deal-killer. You can fold the bottom plate back to remove the battery without taking it off. The lens armor makes it difficult to put your camera in the bag (if yours goes in lens-first like mine).

However, this is a tough skin that fits well and will certainly protect your investment, which really is the point. Personally, I like the way it looks but I wouldn’t care if it was “ugly” as someone else said. Grip is solid and comfortable.

I love this Armor!!! I got a Nikon D60 and the Armor for it and while that was fantastic and worked beautifully they have improved it so much for the D90! When I fitted it onto my D90 it fits perfectly, all of the buttons are easily seen and pressed and it now has a part to cover the bottom of the camera and “lock” into place! It looks very stylish, gives you very good grip of the camera, and allows for easy use of all of it’s functions, even the tripod mount of the bottom.

The only issue I have is I bought the Pop-up shade by Delkin as well and since it’s made by a different manufacturer it can’t really be put on at the same time as the armor since it also covers the buttons around the LCD, but I will just interchange them as needed. I haven’t ever really needed to use the pop-up shade since the LCD is so clear but I figure it’s just another nice thing to have.

This armor is a must-have for anyone who cares about protecting their camera!

My Nikon D90 camera needed protection. We use it like some people use the little point and shoot camera. It goes to Sporting events, on vacations and any other place I go. I go to have fun and take some outstanding pictures.

An expensive camera could suffer damage with the fun part. The Camera Armor is the only product that I found that does a excellent job of protecting the camera from little bumps to large drops. Hats of to Camera Armor,

  • At first I was very skeptical about the this product. I believed that the foam material would make it difficult to manipulate the tiny control bottoms or make it uncomfortable to use. I was wrong. All controls are fully usable and the material adds grip to the way you handle the camera. If you want to protect your investment there is nothing like this. The only drawback is that it did not allow me to put it on a tripod. The hood is a bit too much for me, but I can see how it can protect it from a fall. I would recommend this protect to amateurs and especially to professionals that use and abuse their equipment. It is really worth it.
