I love my new camera! I got it for my birthday in May and have been using it nonstop. Takes great pictures. Very nice and small, easy to use. I got it because it did not have a million buttons that I had no clue what they did.

Great camera. Very easy to use. Picture quality is excellent. I currently have a 10MP Canon and bought this one for my wife. It’s so much better than the one I have, I am trading up and getting one of these. :)

I’ve had this camera for almost two weeks and have been very happy with it so far. The pictures I have taken came out very sharp and colorful. The speed of the camera is also really nice previously coming from a Nikon S550. I’ve been pretty happy with the video quality so far. It does lose some if its quality when you zoom in on objects, but I guess that is sort of expected. The stereo sound quality is also very good. It handles deep bass and loud cars fairly well. (I have some examples on YouTube if anyone is interested; search for Nikon S6000 Sound Quality) At first I was not able to edit any of the video I took with Windows Movie Maker or Windows Live Movie Maker, but downloading Format Factory (free download, google it) fixed that problem and I haven’t had any issues importing media into the programs. Overall I’m very happy and can’t wait to get out and take some more pictures!

Thi camera is nice, light and handy. The screen is good. Easy to find the commands and menus are simple.

It would have been better with a separate charger for the battery. But battery life is ok.

The photo quality is ok. Sharp pictures and colorful. The camera is snappy but between photos with flash, it can take up to 10-15 sec between each shot…And zooming could be slow some times.

The video quality is not so great even if this Nikon S6000 shoots in HD resolution you can see the video image is not sharp. Low light condition the video is kind dark. Quality is not as good.

But considering the price of this camera overall this is ok.

Just returned this camera after giving it 6 weeks in a variety of situations and setting. If you shoot still life, this is probably a good camera. I teach preschool and need a quick shutter speed and a camera that’s ready to reshoot in an instant. This one isn’t it. The pictures seem soft, outdoors was ok but the camera is not ready quickly for a second shot. And kids move quickly. Slow to turn on – I often had to tell the children to wait a sec before being able to take the picture. Indoor shots were yellowish, over-exposed or had facial shadows, and believe me, I tried various flash settings, changed the ISO and the shooting mode.

I was very disappointed as the reviews were all great. Camera has a lot of nice features, but just didn’t produce the kind of pictures I was used to with my Canon or Kodak. Returned it and went back to Kodak. Don’t recommend Nikon s6000. Am curious to hear how my daughter likes her s3000.
