Dynavox AcoustaBar sounds good but is susceptible to electromagnetic interference. Manual suggests it be located 3 meters – that’s about 9 feet – away from the TV and other sources such as your cable box. The audio out cables are about 6 feet long maximum. Physics, folks. It’s OK but I wouldn’t buy another one.

The unit worked great for a few days and then would go to full volume for some unknown reason. It frightened our grandchildren! We turned it off, waited a few minutes and it worked fine for a day or two then without warning it jumped to full volume again. The paperwork that came with the unit has no business address or 800# number to call. We like the unit because we have a hearing impaired person in our home and it helps to clarify speech. We don’t know what to do? Please contact this contractor to make good on his product. We haven’t had any problems with our dealings with Amazon and hate to see this one isolated incident ruin a good relationship.
