Like the previous reviewer, I too bought it because the packaging implies you can plug in composite video and output component video, or at least pass it through. I have an xbox (not 360) and a game cube. They output composite video and my son is fine with it. However, his new TV only has component, hdmi, and dvi inputs. It has no composite input. I bought this because the package suggests it will accept composite video input and output component video, or at least pass it through in some fashion.
A waste of $20.
The package should explicitly state that you cannot do this.

I bought this item based on the packaging’s labels that show composite inputs from a VCR and camcorder and only component and s-video connections to the TV. To me this implied the box converted composite video signals to s-video/component signals. NOT TRUE.
Rathing than being a “anything to anything” device, it is only a “like to like” device. Before you flame “well you can’t connect composite to component”, please be aware that these signals can be converted electronically from one to another.
If you just want a mechanical switch box then this box will do.
